Walk through the Norwegian fjords day by day:
- Day 1: departure from Wroclaw
The departure is from the airport in Wroclaw. The pilot will provide the group, one of whose members will be the voucher recipient, with a detailed itinerary, tourist information and airline tickets. After flying to Oslo Torp Airport, tourists will travel by bus to Sandefjord. There will be a 2-3 hour guided tour of the town. They will see, among others, The Whaling Monument, The Whaling Museum, the street with white houses Bjerggata, the naval warship Southern Actor and the fishing chapel Chapel at the harbor. After a visit to the museum and a walk along the waterfront promenade, the group will have a break at a Norwegian regional restaurant, where they will try whale steak or reindeer Carpaccio.
After the meal, the group will visit the town of Sandefjord, which was once an important part of the local economy. A walk along the coastal promenade offers a multitude of beautiful views of the North Sea and the opportunity to relax on one of the many beaches. In the evening, dinner is scheduled at one of the local restaurants serving seafood dishes, a specialty of the region, as well as an evening stroll through the city center, during which you will be able to see historical buildings such as Sandefjord Cathedral and feel the atmosphere of the city. Overnight accommodation is included in the tour price.
- Day 2 morning: Naverfjord and Vesterøen Utsikt
The group will take a 1-day excursion to 3 tourist attractions: Folehavna Fort, Treitanodden and Hummelen Viewpoint. Comfortable transportation is provided to each of the sites with a professional guide aboard a bus, as well as walking tours in which he will tell about the history, culture and nature of the region.
Folehavna Fort is a World War II fortification and an important part of the defensive fortifications in the area. Part of its tour includes a walk through the bunkers, shelters and other facilities related to the fortification’s history. Treitanodden is a trekking, scenic route offering spectacular views of the fjords and mountains. The trail winds through forests, mountains and the coast – a perfect time to capture the beauty of Norway’s wildlife, led by wild animals – deer, deer or eagles. The Hummelen viewpoint, on the other hand, is one of the most beautiful places in the region, with majestic views of the surrounding fjords, mountains and sea. Here the group will walk along spectacular cliffs with extraordinary landscapes in the background.
- Day 3: trek to Tønsberg Tønne
During the trek to Tønsberg Tønne, the group will enjoy another portion of beautiful Norwegian landscapes and stories about the history of the region. Included in the price of the offer is transportation from Sandefjord, the services of a guide throughout the trek, and snacks and drinks during rest breaks.
The hiking plan is carefully thought out and allows you to have lunch and rest in comfort. During it, the guide will talk about the history and interesting facts about the places the group will visit.
- Day 4: continued sightseeing and departure to Wroclaw
The last day in Sandefjord begins with a visit to the Whaling Museum. This is a great place for lovers of Norway’s whaling history and industry. Afterwards, you can head to Bjerkøya Park overlooking the fjords and surrounding islands. The park has access to picnic areas and a beach. Another item on the list is Sandefjord Cathedral, an excellent example of Norwegian architecture with beautiful stained glass windows and numerous works of art. From here, head to the beautiful promenade-promenade running along the fjord. The Sandefjord Art Museum, with its exhibition of interesting works of art: paintings, sculptures and ceramics, is another attraction worth seeing. Wanting to see Sandefjord from above, it is worth taking a cable car to get there. The last item on the list is Skibladner, the oldest operating ship in Norway.
