Our guided tour navigates the “through the slab” route, rated II on the UIAA scale. This path is suitable for athletic individuals, offering a relatively easy climbing experience. The journey encompasses a 7-kilometer trek from the hut, featuring 100 meters of climbing and an impressive elevation gain of 765 meters.

• The tour spans approximately 8 hours and is led by a licensed Tatra guide, authorized to conduct excursions beyond designated trails.
• The package includes all necessary climbing gear, such as harnesses and helmets.
• Accident insurance coverage of up to 20,000 PLN is included in the service cost.
• Please note that the price of the voucher does not cover the entrance fee to Tatra National Park.

Tour Itinerary

• 7:00 / 8:00 AM – Gather in front of the Shelter at Morskie Oko Lake, at the barrier in Palenica Białczańska, or meet 30 minutes earlier in Zakopane. Meeting location will be confirmed individually a few days prior to the trip.
• 9:00 AM – Relax at the hostel, discuss the trip plan, and adjust equipment.
• 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Hike to the Monk’s Back and Higher Monk’s Pass.
• 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Equip harnesses and ascend to the Upper Shelves and the summit dome itself. The 100 meters of climbing will be guided, ensuring safe belaying for participants. The upper ascent, characterized by exposure, is the highlight of the Monk’s climb and offers an unforgettable experience. After reaching the peak, participants will descend via rope, with the guide assisting one by one. The ascent is conducted in two teams; the guide first leads two climbers, then returns to assist the next pair.
• 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Return to the starting point.

• Participants under 18 must obtain written parental consent to join the tour.
• High-altitude climbing involves inherent risks; participants engage in this activity at their own risk. Prior to the tour, signing the regulations is mandatory.
• Any damage to rented equipment will result in the customer being responsible for repair or replacement costs.
